Mélanie De Biasio

At the age of 12 Mélanie joined the Ensemble de l'Harmonie de Charleroi and studied singing at the Royal Conservatory in Brussels. Her formative years also included a month-long tour of Russia with a jazz-punk group. A star was born.

Her music is a concoction of beautiful, existential, 21st century blues and bewitching panoramic soundscapes. The music that courses from De Biasio’s lips and crackles at her fingertips so effortlessly is understated, unsettling and unforgettable. A force that cannot be contained and obliges the listener to listen very, very closely.
